The Sixth Seal & 144,000 Sealed | Revelation 6–7 Mid-Tribulation
The sixth seal opens at mid-tribulation: the sun turns black as sackcloth, the moon like blood from dust and smoke—not the later supernova of Matthew 24:29. Gog of Magog brings nuclear war, falling stars, a sky rolled like a scroll, and a great earthquake. Russia and her allies—Turkey, Georgia, Persia, Ethiopia, Libya, Germany, Togarmah—are destroyed on the mountains of Israel. Nations know God has done it. Israel sees that God is dealing with them again. The man of lawlessness is killed and revived. Two witnesses appear. Israel flees. The great tribulation begins when he sits as God in the temple.
Four angels hold the winds. One hundred forty-four thousand Jewish men are sealed on their foreheads to preach the gospel of the kingdom. Levi is included; Joseph’s double portion brings Manasseh; Dan is omitted for idolatry. A great multitude from the great tribulation serves in the millennial temple with palm branches of Tabernacles. God tents among them. The Lamb shepherds them.
