Mighty Messenger Claims the Earth | Revelation 10-11
The Mighty Messenger in Revelation 10 is Christ Himself, clothed in the glory cloud with a rainbow above His head, face like the sun, and feet as pillars of fire. He holds the open little scroll—the title deed to the earth—planting one foot on the sea and one on the land. There is no more delay. John eats the scroll and must prophesy further. Revelation 11 returns to the middle of the Tribulation: two Jewish witnesses (Elijah and a modern-day Jew) prophesy 1,260 days, exercise authority over rain, waters, and plagues, are killed by the beast, lie unburied in the street of spiritual Sodom and Egypt, and are raised by the Spirit of life just before Christ’s return.
