Revelation 12: Israel, the Dragon & the Male Child
In Revelation 11:19–12:6 the temple of God opens in heaven as God deals with Israel. The ark of the covenant appears containing the manna pot, Aaron’s rod, and the tablets of the Law amid judgments of Jacob’s Trouble. Signs in the heavens reveal Israel as a woman clothed with the sun and moon and crowned with twelve stars in labor, opposed by the red dragon Satan who casts a third of the stars to earth. She births the male Child who rules the nations with a rod of iron and is caught up to the throne, then flees into the wilderness for three and a half years.
