Galatians
The Inarticulate Babbler Becoming a Son
As the Elect of God (Colossians 3:12)
As the elect of God, we are to put on tender compassion (Colossians 3:12).
As the elect of God, we are to express kindness–making others feel at ease(Colossians 3:12).
We are to have a proper frame of mind–being humble (Colossians 3:12).
We maintain an objectivity of mind to continue to live out who we are in Christ (Colossians 3:12).
We withhold our anger against unreasonable people: long-suffering (Colossians 3:12).
We bear with other saints (Colossians 3:13).
We have a gracious attitude to ourselves and other saints (Colossians 3:13).
We seek to maintain the bond of love; seeking to do what is best for another (Colossians 3:14).
God’s peace umpires in our hearts (Colossians 3:15).
In Christ there is No Racial Distinctions (Galatians 3:28–29)
Christ made one new man of the two (Ephesians 2:15).
This does not remove Israel (Romans 11:26).
We all have the same position in Christ; we are sons.
We do have different position in the body.
These positions relate to our Spiritual gift (1 Corinthians 12:5–6).
The gift we receive is by the determinate will of the Spirit (1 Corinthians 12:11).
Each member has a purpose (1 Corinthians 12:15–16).
We are all given one gift (1 Peter 4:10).
We are all heirs according to the promise to the Seed of Abraham (Galatians 3:29).
Not heirs to the land promises made to the descendants of Abraham (Genesis 15:18–21; 17:7–8).
Hiers according to the promise to the Seed (Genesis 22:17).
There are three races now: Jews, Gentiles, and the Church of God (1 Corinthians 10:32).
The Inarticulate Babbler Becoming a Son (Galatians 4:1–7)
While the heir is an inarticulate babbler, he is treated no differently than a slave (Galatians 4:1).
The heir is under guardians and stewards until the time appointed by the Father (Galatians 4:2).
Inarticulate babblers abide by the basic elements of the world (Galatians 4:3).
These elements are based on the philosophy according to men (Colossians 2:8).
Since we have died with Christ, we are no longer bound to the elementary principles of the world (Colossians 2:20–23).
Touch not, taste not, handle not (Colossians 2:21).
They are according to the traditions of men (Colossians 2:22).
They have an appearance of wisdom in self-made religion, humility, and neglect of the body (Colossians 2:23).
They have no value against the indulgences of the flesh (Colossians 2:23).
The Placement of Sons (Galatians 4:4-7).
When the fulness of time came, God sent His Son (Galatians 4:4).
He was born of a woman (Matthew 1:23; Luke 1:35).
Christ was born under the Mosaic Law (Luke 2:27).
Christ did not come to destroy the law, but to fulfill it (Matthew 5:17).
Christ redeemed those who were under the law (Galatians 4:5).
We are now sons of God (Galatians 4:6).
We are no longer slaves (Galatians 4:7).
Join Us in person at 811 W. Main Street in Monroe WA 98272.
If you are unable to join in person, we have a live broadcast at 11:00 AM for our main service.
And let us consider one another in stirring up love and proper works, not forsaking the gathering of ourselves, just as is the habit of some, but encouraging, and so much more as we see the day approaching (Hebrews chapter 10 verses 24 and 25).
In a world that often pulls us toward isolation, coming together face-to-face provides encouragement, clarity, and spiritual strength. At Word of Grace Studies, we gather because we value the opportunity to build up one another in truth, to stir up love and proper works, and to grow together in the faith. Whether you can come and fellowship with us or at a local assembly in your area, do not forsake the assembling of the saints, your presence matters—for your benefit and for the encouragement of others.
You’re always welcome to join us and experience the encouragement and connection that come from gathering together.
